Thank You, America
Thank you America for everything You've given us,
For centuries You've let our people hope for a better future,
in a worthy life, hoping to make a fortune with You.
You've always been an ideal of dreams, of desires,
of FREEDOM.
Your people knew how to fight,
Your people knew how to win,
Your people knew how to cry.
Your children had helped us when we were lost
in a horrid war with a human face,
Your children had helped the losing nations
to raise from the dead and shine with all their beauty.
YOUR beauty,
built by the people who have refused to eat humble pie,
built by the people who have emigrated and You have received,
built by the people who have personally suffered the cause of their
fortune.
How many children will not see their parents anymore,
How many people lay under the rubble,
How many people are still striving for Life?
Thank you America, because You, deeply wounded,
will find the courage to pull through.
The blood that has been spilled
belongs to our beating heart,
a heart that screams to the world that it's still alive,
accusing the wickedness of Mankind.
Thank you America, because in place of the Twin Towers
now stands the pride of Your people,
the pride of a suffering country,
the pride of a nation that has seen drowning in blood
the hopes, the loves, the dreams and the lives of its citizens.
Thank you America for Your courage,
You're still a lady who does not lay slain,
Thank you America because You are a symbol of Freedom,
Thank you again America because You've welcomed our forefathers.
But Your people will not surrender
facing the streams of revenge of the rival nations,
Your people will react and proudly pull through
because everyone knows at heart
that the Statue of Liberty is still looking up at the sky.
